Coach Shaun Hill
Coach Hill is in his 11th year as a teacher and coach. He graduated in 1996 from Michigan City High School and from Tri-State University in 2001. Currently, Coach Hill serves as an Instructional Assistant at Merit Learning Center and as a Physical Education teacher at Goshen Middle School. On the coaching staff, he serves as the Junior Varsity head coach.
His first coaching opportunity came in 2001 as a volunteer assistant at Goshen High School working with both the Varsity and JV. He then spent four years as a freshman assistant before moving to the middle school to coach eighth grade. The following year, the opportunity presented itself to move back to the high school as a freshmen coach. Coach Hill held this position for two seasons before moving into his current position as J.V. coach; now, going into his third season. In addition to coaching basketball, Coach Hill also coaches middle school girls’ volleyball.
Coach Hill has been married to Kelly Shoup-Hill for 7 years and they have 5 children: Makayla Shoup (15), Brynn Hill (8), Deecon Hill (7), Kyra Hill (5), and Taryn Hill (4). He enjoys coaching and watching them in their many sports experiences: volleyball, tennis, baseball, softball, basketball, swimming, dance, and more. When they are not at a sporting event the family likes to play board games (he is the current Scrabble champion) and watching movies.
